We welcome any contributions you would like to make regarding this section. Perhaps you too have recently had to deal with your first death, or have some study tips to share which could benefit other student nurses.

Why did you want to be a nurse? Tell us how you came to be in the profession and what or who inspired you in your choice - perhaps you had a really good mentor, or an experience when younger that created a desire to help people.

Getting the best out of your placements is key to gaining knowledge that will help you progress, and our section has plenty of experiences and tips from fellow students. We also enjoy reading about your life on the wards, and what you find hinders or enhances a good work/life balance.

Email us at nsowebmaster@nursingstandard.co.ukand let us know your thoughts on any of these sections in 500 words (or less). Include the name you wish to be published under, and your experience will soon be on these pages helping to inspire and uplift a new generation of nurses.
